NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF CITY OF BUFORD

GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-1 et seq. and all other applicable Georgia laws, please be advised that the general municipal election scheduled on November 3, 2009 will not be conducted in the City of Buford, Georgia, as there is no opposed candidate and no write-in candidate has qualified as provided by law;
Under and by virtue of the Charter of the City of Buford, Constitution and laws of the State of Georgia, the following unopposed candidates are declared to have been elected for certain municipal offices, to-wit:
(a) City Commissioner, Michael Smith
(b) City Commissioner, Chris Burge
(c) School Board Member, Bruce Fricks
(d) School Board Member, Pat Pirkle
