NOTICE OF HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
CALLED MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE is hereby given that the Gainesville Historic Preservation Commission will hold a called meeting and public hearing on Monday, October 19, 2009 @ 5:30 p.m. This meeting will be held in the Green Street Station Training Room which is located at 311 Henry Ward Way in downtown Gainesville.

1) Request from JHSD, Inc. (d/b/a Mellow Mushroom) for a Certificate of Appropriateness for a Major Work Project involving a site change on 1.07± acres located on the east side of Green Street at its intersection with Ridgewood Avenue (a/k/a 700 Green Street, NE).

Proposed Work Project: Site change involving the removal of an existing freestanding sign and the construction of a new, smaller replacement principal freestanding sign to be constructed of wood, with the sign message either sandblasted or routed onto a cedar sign

2) Amend Section 2.1 Appointments, Qualifications, Terms, Vacancies and Compensation of the Gainesville Historic Preservation Commission Bylaws, as adopted and amended through January 16, 2007; to define the expiration date of a term of office.

3) Amend Section 2.3 Meetings of the Gainesville Historic Preservation Commission Bylaws, as adopted and amended through January 16, 2007; to change the regular meeting day.

4) Officer Elections: Chair & Vice Chair
