NOTICE is hereby given that the Hall County Planning Commission shall conduct a public hearing at the Georgia Mountains Center, 301 Main Street, SW, Gainesville, Georgia, at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, October 19, 2009 to consider the following:

Application of Faye Pass to rezone from AR-IV to H-B; to rezone from H-B to AR-IV; and Uses Subject to Planning Commission approval on a 22.42± acre tract located on the north side of Roy Parks Road, 460± feet east of its intersection with Candler Road; a.k.a. 4212 Roy Parks Road; Tax Parcel 15024 000008. Proposed Use: Youth/adult shooting range and to vary the road frontage requirements.* Commission District 1.

NOTE: In accordance with Georgia law, anyone who
(a) wishes to express opposition to the proposed rezoning and
(b) Has made, within two years immediately preceding the filing of the proposed rezoning,
campaign contributions aggregating $250 or more to a member of the County Commission shall file a disclosure of contributions with the Planning Department at least five (5) days prior to the first hearing of the proposed rezoning by the County Commission. (OCGA § 36-67A-3[C]).

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE HALL COUNTY ZONING REGULATIONS.**
To create Chapter 17.221 of Title 17 of the Official Code of Hall County, Georgia entitled “Airfield Zoning District”. The proposed ordinance will provide rules and regulations for properties utilized for airfields, heliports, helipads, landing fields and related uses.

A RESOLUTION TO CREATE CHAPTER 17.221 OF TITLE 17 OF THE OFFICIAL CODE OF HALL COUNTY, GEORGIA, ENTITLED "AIRFIELD ZONING DISTRICT” FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING STANDARDS AND PROCEDURES FOR IMPROVING THE SAFE AND EFFICIENT MOVEMENT OF AIR TRAFFIC AROUND THE COUNTY FOR PERSONS AND PROPERTIES USING ALL MODES OF TRAVEL FOR AIR TRANSPORT; TO DEFINE THE TERMS SET FORTH IN CHAPTER 17.221 OF THE OFFICIAL CODE OF HALL COUNTY, GEORGIA; TO INCLUDE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF GUIDELINES; TO PROVIDE FOR REQUIREMENTS AND PROVISIONS FOR PROPERTIES UTILIZED FOR AIRFIELDS, HELIPORTS, HELIPADS, LANDING FIELDS AND RELATED USES; TO PROVIDE PROCEDURES FOR APPEALS AND MODIFICATIONS OF THE REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH IN CHAPTER 17.221 OF THE OFFICIAL CODE OF HALL COUNTY, GEORGIA; TO PROVIDE FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; TO REPEAL CONFLICTING RESOLUTIONS AND ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

**The Planning Commission's recommendation will be forwarded to the Board of Commissioners for final action at a public hearing on Thursday, November 12, 2009. The Board will meet at 5:00 p.m. at the Georgia Mountains Center, 301 Main Street, Gainesville, Georgia.


**The Hall County Board of Commissioners will have a first reading tentatively scheduled on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 5:00 p.m., with a second reading tentatively scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Location for both meetings at the Georgia Mountains Center, 301 Main Street, Gainesville, Georgia.
