The Braselton Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 7 p.m. and the Braselton Mayor and Council will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 4 p.m. on the following items:

1. Case# 08-700-RZ

Application for annexation and re-zoning from Ronnie Richardson on property owned by him located at 487 and 507 Thompson Mill Road - Jackson County Tax Parcel 123- 001L and 001M. The size of the tracts requesting annexation and re-zoning is 4.33 acres. The property is currently zoned A-2 and the applicant requests a zoning of N-C (Neighborhood Commercial) upon annexation.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Braselton Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on November 20, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. on the following items:

1.Case # 08-400-VAR

Application for a variance from Elan Hospitality, LLC. The applicant is Ray Thakkar. The property is identified as 925 Hwy. 124. The purpose of the variance request is to seek relief from Section 17.8 (C)(5) of the Braselton Development Code, which requires lots that have an Interstate Visible Sign to have the furthermost portion of the lot no more than 400 feet from the right-of-way of Interstate 85 . The property is zoned General Commercial.
